A

#Reach

The number of different people who saw a post or an ad. It is not the same as impressions: if one person sees the same ad three times, reach is one and impressions are three.

#Ad

A paid piece (text, image or video) shown on Google, social networks or other sites to reach a given audience. You pay per click, per thousand impressions or per result, depending on the platform.

#Audience

The group of people a campaign or piece of content is aimed at, defined by location, age, interests or behavior. Choosing the right audience is what makes the same ad perform twice as well.

#Marketing automation

Using tools so certain tasks happen on their own: replying to an inquiry, sending a reminder, alerting the salesperson when someone requests a quote. It saves time and keeps contacts from falling through the cracks.

#Domain authority

An estimate of how much Google trusts a website, based mostly on the number and quality of other sites linking to it. The higher the authority, the easier it is to rank new content.

B

#Branding

Building a company's brand: what it stands for, how it looks, how it speaks and what it wants people to remember. It includes name, logo, colors, tone and the consistency of all of that at every touchpoint.

#Buyer persona

A detailed description of the ideal customer: who they are, what problem they have, what they look for and how they decide. It helps content and advertising speak to someone specific instead of everyone.

C

#Call to action

A phrase or button that points to the next step: "Request a quote", "Message us on WhatsApp". Without a clear call, many people read and leave without doing anything.

#Campaign

A set of ads with a defined goal, budget and time frame. A campaign may aim for inquiries, sales, site visits or brand awareness.

#Chatbot

A program that answers messages automatically on WhatsApp, web or social media. Simple ones follow a menu; those using artificial intelligence understand questions written naturally.

#Click

The action of tapping an ad or a link. In advertising it is the most measured unit and, in many cases, the one you pay for.

#Community manager

The person who manages a brand's social media: plans and publishes content, replies to comments and messages, and looks after the relationship with the community.

#Evergreen content

Content that stays useful over time (a guide, an explanation, a glossary), unlike news or a promotion. It is the foundation of long-term rankings.

#Conversion

The moment a visitor does what the company hoped for: requests a quote, buys, subscribes or writes on WhatsApp. It is the real measure of whether marketing works.

#Cost per acquisition (CPA)

How much advertising it takes to get one inquiry or sale. It is calculated by dividing spend by the number of conversions. It is the number business owners care about most.

#Cost per click (CPC)

What you pay each time someone clicks an ad. It varies with the competition for that keyword or audience; in Argentina it can range from cents to several dollars.

#CRM

A system that records every contact and conversation with customers and prospects, so you know where each one stands and never lose a follow-up. At Mejor Digital we use CIEREM.

#CTR (click-through rate)

The percentage of people who clicked out of everyone who saw the ad or result. A high CTR means the message is attractive to those who see it.

D

#Domain

A website's address, such as mejordigital.com.ar. It is registered for a period and must be renewed; in Argentina .com.ar domains are managed at NIC Argentina.

#Email marketing

Sending emails to a list of people who agreed to receive them: news, promotions, follow-ups. Done well, it is one of the most profitable channels because the list is yours.

#Sales funnel

The path a person follows from first hearing about the brand to buying: seeing an ad, visiting the page, inquiring, getting follow-up, deciding. It is called a funnel because fewer people remain at each step.

#Engagement

How much the audience interacts with a brand on social media: likes, comments, shares, saves and messages. It shows whether content sparks real interest, beyond follower counts.

#User experience (UX)

How a person feels when using a website or app: whether they find what they need, whether it loads fast, whether they understand what to do. A poor experience loses sales even when the product is good.

#Inbound marketing

A strategy that attracts customers with useful content (guides, articles, videos) instead of interrupting them with ads. People arrive looking for an answer and find the brand.

#Influencer

A person with their own social media audience who recommends products or services. For an SMB, small profiles specific to its area or industry usually work better than big names.

#Remarketing

#Online reputation

What is said about a company online: Google reviews, social media comments, press mentions. It matters more every year because people, and AI systems too, check it before deciding.

#ROAS

Return on ad spend: how much revenue comes back for every unit of currency spent on ads. A ROAS of 5 means every unit of media spend produced five in sales.

#ROI

Return on investment: the profit obtained relative to everything invested (media, agency, tools). It is how you know whether marketing as a whole brings in more than it costs.

S

#Targeting / segmentation

Dividing the audience into groups by location, age, interests or behavior so each one gets the right message. It is what prevents spending on people who will never buy.

#SEM

Search engine marketing through paid ads, mainly on Google Ads. It complements SEO: one delivers immediate results while you pay, the other builds results that last.
